About Me

My journey in software engineering started with curiosity and a desire to solve real problems. When my sister opened a restaurant, she was asked to pay a hefty fee just to get a website. I thought, I could do that myself—if only I knew how. I experimented with online site builders but quickly realized I needed a deeper understanding. A friend then introduced me to programming, and I started with C++. While I never got past the terminal, that first step sparked a passion that would shape my career.

From C++, I moved on to PHP and JavaScript, and soon I was able to build a website for her business. The ability to think something into existence through code felt like a superpower—and I was hooked.

Since then, my career has had several defining moments. I completed the HNG Internship 5.0 and later returned as a mentor for HNG Internship 7.0—Africa’s largest programming internship—which transformed both my skills and mindset. I also work on PHPSandbox, an online IDE for PHP, alongside Bosun.

Today, I focus on building high-performance backends that solve real-world business challenges. I strive to create systems that are secure, resilient, and maintainable, turning ideas into reliable, scalable software.

When I'm not pushing code, I'm deeply involved in the tech community. I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned through technical writing and speaking at conferences like PHP Talks—it’s my way of giving back to the ecosystem that has given me so much.

Beyond tech, I love hanging out with friends, exploring new places, and enjoying a good cup of coffee. I also like to unwind by playing FIFA and diving into books on physics. And every now and then, I tinker with new tech stacks just for the fun of it.
